Mahatma Gandhi HSS Pala, also received a huge budget of Rs 6 crore (5 Cr from KIIFB and 1 Cr from MLA Asset Development Fund) in expanding and modernizing it’s infrastructure to international standards. An HSS block of G+2 and a single floor activity area was constructed using the majority of the fund. This project was launched on the 16th of May, 2018 and inaugurated by the Hon’ble CM of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan. As per government protocol, these constructions were also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision was done by WAPCOS. The rest of the budget went into equipping the classrooms, toilets for boys, girls as well as specially constructed ones for handicapped students, ample parking facilities etc as well as into other amenities.
